I am an Illustrator, Painter and Graphic Designer originally from Newark, NJ. I took an interest in drawing when I was about 5 years old. My mother used to give me the tissue paper from her shoebox and a comic book and show me how to trace the people in the book. Since that time I've had about 10 years of formal Fine Arts training and some time putting my art on the streets as well as the gallery.
My portfolio contains illustrations for The Source Magazine, and various record labels. There's also artwork and retail merchandise signage for Sony, MCA, BMG and Polygram music distribution in the mix.
As Associate Art Director for Prime-Time Merchandise and Licensed Products, I led a team of local artists that produced an award winning Magic Trade Show booth and visual designs for Warner Brothers Merchandise, Turner Broadcasting Merchandise and Spencer Gifts along with a few others.
After years of laying out event flyer designs, I stepped into the world of Graphic Design Layout and Typography. When my first born arrived in 2000, I spent 2 years typesetting financial institution literature and designing Annual Business Report covers for Commerce Financial Printers. I've designed well over 1000 various color and black & white event flyers from early 1987 to the present.
To date, I'm a recent graduate of Montclair State University's School of BFA Animation/Illustration program. See my work on display at Smithsonian's Morris Museum until March 15, 2020.
